MICHAEL GALLAGHER WRITES

Vivaldi for transitions

Hi Beric!

I mentioned a while back that I'd love to use some Vivaldi for the transitions (the breaks between scenes, chapters, etc.), so I've started chopping up and playing with the royalty-free version from John Harrison that I use for my Twitter ads. It's a live performance, so I try to work around the coughs and general restlessness of the audience, but it still sounds a little rough.

I don't mind this too much. I'd love the audiobook to have a slightly vintage feel to it, and I figure it will give it a hint of "Paul Temple", where the music and sound effects were added by a woman in the studio working two record players. If you're not familiar with Paul Temple, check out the opening and a few transitions here:

So far I've done a few transitions that I think might work. I'll add more as and when I can. You can download the files by clicking on the three dots on the right-hand side. You can also leave me messages at the bottom of the page.
