FROM BOOK TO PODCAST:

A diary

September 1st 2024

Welcome to my final weekly diary (for a while at least) charting the ups and downs of turning my Victorian whodunnit, Octopus: Octavius Guy & The Case of the Throttled Tragedienne, into a podcast. I'm its author, Michael Gallagher. Beric Livingstone is its narrator.

Where Beric is at:

Beric's back from his trip, has set up his studio in its new home, and has just sent me Chapter 10. A LOT happens in this chapter. Gooseberry discusses the case with the older of the two Georges, learns that a new will has come to light, and confronts Mr Jacobs and Miss Cartwright in their dressing room at the Sadler's Wells.

Here he reads the final section of The Interval Continued, where the stranger, who's claiming to be Gooseberry's father, comes up with some surprising answers.

I can't imagine a better, more thoroughly detailed and accurate reading, to be honest. If there are any authors out there who are considering turning their novels into audiobooks, I can thoroughly recommend Beric. You can contact him on his website.

Where I am at:

I've done very little again, apart from a preliminary listening to the new chapter, but I have been busy reorganizing the website, so if anyone is looking for a particular recipe of mine, it should now be much easier to find.

Till we meet again, folks!
